Albert James Miller, affectionately known as "The Chosen One," was born on March 9, 1957, in New Orleans, Louisiana. He departed this life on December 23, 2024, in Lafourche, Louisiana. Visitation and Services will be held on January 27, 2025, at Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church, 2445 Fourth Street, Slidell, Louisiana. Visitation is from 9am to 11am. Services begins at 11am. Interment will be held at SE Veterans Cemetery, 34888 Grantham College Drive, Slidell, Louisiana at 1:30pm.
Albert was a Retired Army Veteran who served his country with honor and dedication. Known for his giving spirit, kindness, generosity and compassion, he touched the lives of many and left an indelible mark on those fortunate enough to know him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Louise Betty-Tucker Miller and Oliver W. Miller; three brothers, Oliver Charles Miller, Michael Ray Miller, and Louis "Sack" Miller. Albert leaves behind cherished memories with his brother Benjamin Miller of Greensburg, Louisiana; his sister Ann Miller of New Orleans; his daughter Myesha McCormick and son-in-law Corey McCormich Sr.; and his beloved grandchildren Jonathan Laugand, Taylar McCormick, Corey McCormick Jr., and Journey McCormick. He is also mourned by a host of family members and friends who will forever hold him close in their hearts. May Albert's legacy of kindness and service continue to inspire all who knew him.
