Donnis L. Byrd born February 10, 1935.  On October 4, 2024, he transitioned to be with the Lord.  Visitation and Services will be held on October 12, 2024 at Doyle Funeral Home, 2430 Fourth Street, Slidell, Louisiana.  Visitation is from 10am to 11am and Services begins at 11am.  Interment will be held at Greenwood Cemetery, 200 Brian Street, Corner of Guzman and Second Street, Slidell, Louisiana.

Donnis Lavelle Byrd is survived by his two sons:  Cale and Joe Byrd. along with Joe's loving wife Mikki Byrd.  Joe and Mikki gave Donnis two wonderful grandchildren:  Jessica and Zoe Byrd.  Donnis was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, who will be remembered for his kindness, dedication to his family, and the joy he brought to those around him.

He touched the lives of many, and his memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
