IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Rozela Ann
Eubanks
October 11, 1950 – November 8, 2025
Rozela Ann Parker Eubanks was born in the Bayou Bonfouca community of Slidell, LA on October 11, 1950 as the oldest of six children born to Alfred and Virginia Parker. She was a proud member of the St. Tammany High School graduating class of 1968. Upon graduating high school she furthered her studies obtaining an Associate's Degree from Sullivan Vocational Technical Institute.
Rozela began her walk with Christ at Providence Missionary Baptist Church and later joined Pentecost Missionary Baptist Church. Rozela was very active in ministry at Pentecost and talked often of her days serving as a Sunday School teacher there.
It was after getting married and having her first child that she then joined Mt. Olive AME Church in February of 1981.
Rozela started her professional career as a long-time employee for Sears and Roebuck before transitioning into a successful banking career. She retired from JP Morgan Chase in 2015.
Rozela was extremely active both on the local church and district levels. Rozela served as a Sunday School teacher in addition to serving on the Stewardess Board. Rozela had also previously served as president of the Juliette Smith Women's Missionary Society, secretary of the Lay Organization, and was a member of the Heart to Heart ministry.
Rozela was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Virginia Parker. Rozela leaves to cherish her devoted husband of 53 years, Sam Eubanks; two daughters, Sheena (Joe) Barnes and Celeste Eubanks; five sisters, Joyce (Earnest) Smith, Lois Adams, Sandra (Rudolph) Page, Phyllis Washington, and Melva (David) Lee; two brothers-in-law, Claude Eubanks, Jr. and Archie Eubanks; two sisters-in-law, Helen Green and Marie Eubanks, six Godchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cherished friends.
To honor Rozela Eubanks' legacy of faith and service, the family asks that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Juliette Smith Women's Missionary Society (WMS). Contributions may be made by check payable to "Mt. Olive AME WMS" or online using the following link: https://giv.li/9wbnzb (select WMS for "GiftMay Purpose").
May the Lord strengthen and comfort the family during their time of bereavement.
