Vondell Galatas Millsap born January 3, 1939, in Slidell, LA, to the late Nelson John Galatas and Rosia Lee Parker Galatas.  Vondell departed this life on April 2, 2025, at the age of 86 in Slidell, Louisiana.

She married to the late James "Walter" Millsap in 1965 and to this union, one son, Vincenti Millsap, was born.

Vondell was an educator for 46 years in St. Tammany Parish, where she touched the lives of many children with her kind and giving spirit.

Vondell is survived by her son, Vincenti Millsap of Slidell, LA; her brother Nelson Galatas of Houston, TX; grandchildren, Kyla Millsap, and Valencia Millsap of Slidell; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Services will be held on Saturday, April 12, at St. Genevieve Catholic Church, 58203 Hwy 433, Slidell, LA, with Visitation at 9:00 a.m. and Mass at 11:00 a.m.

Interment will be held at Forest Lawn Cemetery, 1751 Gause  Blvd., West US 190, Slidell, LA.
